For the love of animals

This post is going to be far different from the rest of my posts. At the beginning of February I started volunteering for the Lethbridge Humane Society working in the office and playing with the animals. Although it's a great place for the animals and they're treated so great, I noticed that there is one thing lacking. Toys. Some of the cats have some previously chewed toys, while others have nothing. The dogs are only allowed the expensive Kong toys in their kennels, therefore they are left with nothing to play with.
Since I have cats, I decided to bring a few toys for the cats to play with. I was just going to place the toys in the kennels that didn't have any. After the first few, I realize I wouldn't have enough to give it. It broke my heart. The cat's who did get toys were overjoyed and all I could hear for 10 minutes was the sound of them playing.
Many of your reading this are probably wondering why i'm bringing this up. Well, I was hoping that I can appeal to your animal loving nature and ask that you buy, or donate, toys (old or new) to the humane society. I believe that each pet coming in should have something that is theirs to have for the duration of their stay, which lets admit it, is usually a long time for. You can drop toys off at my house, or bring over a twoonie so I can go buy some toys. I just was at petland, but only had enough money to buy a few packages of toys. I would appreciate all the help I can get.
